Rafa's Solo Beer Review - Lagunitas IPA

General:

Price: $1.99 per 12 oz. bottle
ABV: 6.2
IBU: 45

Aroma:

A very well balanced IPA, but being an IPA, it's on the hoppy side. The hop aroma is very nice - citrusy and balanced. The malt aroma is sweet and caramel-like. Overall balanced for an IPA.

An awesome flavor! This is definitely an A+ beer. One of my new top 5 favorites. It's got an amazing hop bite at the finish, but starts out with a nice creamy maltiness that balances it out. It definitely leaves you wanting more.

Overall Thoughts:
Amazing. A great beer. I never thought to pick up any Lagunitas, but I'll definitely be on the lookout from now on.

Craftmanship:

IPAs are hard to balance out. So whenever I find an IPA that is this well balanced, I've got to give it this rating. It's very exciting to find such a great - dare I say - balanced East Coast style IPA coming from California.

Overall Rating:
9/10
